Tip 203: A simple safe anti-bacterial solution for optimal health.
Here is a very simple, very cheap way to reduce the odds of getting infections, flues, and all sorts of nasty bugs that bring down your immune system, thus halting your gains in the gym short. It cost less than a single high quality vitamin tablet.It is called coconut oil pulling. Our oral health reflects everywhere in the body. Abnormal pathological levels of bacteria in the mouth has now been not only linked to tooth decay and gingivitis but also to increased risk of heart attacks, osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue, hypertension. Oil pulling comes from Ayurvedic medicine. It is rather simple, after meals, put a tablespoon of virgin coconut oil in your mouth and swish around for as long as you can.
You simply suck, push and pull the coconut oil through your teeth and gums. The goal is to be able to do that for 15-20 minutes. If you can handle only 2 minutes at first, don’t worry. It is far better than doing nothing. You can do it anywhere: watching TV, listening your iPod, driving. I am actually doing it as I am writing this tip. Just discard the oil when you are done, and rinse off with water. That is all. It is recommended to do it once a day.
